Dear traveler,
I get a glimpse of reddish light through my sleeping bag. I can't help but wonder why my folks did not wake me up early.
I stand up and from my bed I can see Mamarmot already dressed in her hiking clothes, with her backpack ready and most likely with the place we're going to today already in her mind.
-"Morning, Marmot, will you wake up? Let's eat something and hit the road soon. Today we'll be walking less, I already checked the map.."
Of course!
Mamarmot lost me at the first details. Let me wash my face and we'll talk after.
All said and done, we go to the kitchen for breakfast and I'm not leaving without taking a few bread slices with olive oil and salt.
The trail takes us out quite quickly from the stone paved streets and carries us again through the wilderness of the Meseta. The sun raises slowly and the light that shows us the path now seems familiar.
I've seen it before a few days back. It's so beautiful. I wonder when I've seen it...and where? I wonder what day is today?
-"Mamarmot, what day is today?"
-"To be honest, Marmot, I don't have the slightest idea."
It's good that at least one of us knows.
I get back to the sight. The sun is caressing hill ridges and paths and this accompanies us for a while.

Before us lies this beautiful path. Did we changed planets again? I can't believe it, I'm walking on the sun.

We follow the path of sun until he decides he'd like to raise a little bit higher. From there, we continue to follow the shell.

-"Ok, Mamarmot, I woke up. Now you can tell me what you wanted to say earlier."
Mamarmot tells me that today we'll be walking less, to a small village and that we have more time to enjoy the sights.
The way this trail looks, I surely want to enjoy it. Besides a few pilgrims, all we can see are fields and a cloudy sky. It's the perfect weather.

Let's play a word game, or no, let's count, ooooor, tell me again that story, Marmot.
Dad says he'll be going ahead a bit. He thought that each one of us deserves 5 minutes of silence everyday and he said he will start and Mamarmot will go next. What do you mean by silence? Like that game with who speaks first looses? It's the only game I'm not good at, I always loose! Until I ask him, he already moved a few meters ahead.
Just look at him..

Fine, I'll let him enjoy the little things.
After Mamarmot takes her silence break, we get back together and reach a place where there's a big stone bridge and a church we visit. Apparently here many pilgrims stopped for the night in medieval times. I find playground where we stay until I get enough of the swings..if you can ever get enough of that. Mamarmot knows as she enjoyed a big net swing too.
Then we return to the wilderness.
This place is the biggest playground I've ever seen. I just want to skip around like a jackrabbit.

Today I feel no tiredness whatsoever. I just want to run and my steps seem as light as the fluffy clouds above.
We reach the next village and Mamarmot tells me we'll be stopping here. Whaaat? I didn't even get the chance to get tired. I want to jump around some more!
-"Come on, Marmot, you can run some more tomorrow. Today we stop here. It's a more relaxed day to charge our batteries."
In the small village where we stop we don't have much to do, but we find a graveyard and where is a graveyard there is a? Playground! Yes, a bit weird, no? Well, this is how they do things in this part of the world, no idea why.
We eat something and we take a short stroll through the surroundings. And since I have some time, I start writing the letter to Santa which I'll hand over to Berndt when I'll see him again. This time, I think he is one day behind us, as only my folks were that eager to pass the Meseta in one single day,
We get ready for bed and I dust Fulgeraș off a bit. That's because he jumped with me on the field as well. I really tried to throw him as high as the clouds.
And thinking about paths of sun, I return into the world of dreams.
Marmot statistics
Joy
Marmot is happy, having to walk a short trail for today, on which we have time to stop and play and enjoy the surroundings.
Sights
The presence of the Meseta can still be felt, but today, the trail climbs and descends us through deserted hills and valleys but also walks us through open fields, where all you can guide yourself by is the horizon.
Difficulty
The trail is easy today, covering a shorter distance, in a much more chilly weather.
Boredom
Marmot doesn't get too bored today. We take our time to stop at every playground we find on our way.
Drama
No drama also today, marmot feeling free to jump and run around where she pleases.
