bigger room. The people from the albergue offer us the possibility to stay in one of the rooms where they usually sleep.<\/p><p>At the albergue, there is a kitchen where dinner is prepared by all the pilgrims for the communion dinner. The food is bought from the donations gathered in the previous day. I wonder if Berndt will be there, the old guy from Norway I talked with a few days back. I don't even remember when was the last time I saw him..<\/p><p>However, we're moving forward. The path is straight, open and deserted. From time to time I can hear a \"Buen Camino\", but today I can't recognize any face.<\/p><p>-\"Mamarmot, where are we going today?\"<\/p><p>-\"Marmot, I don't know. Let's walk as much as we like and stop in a nice place, okay?\"<\/p><p>Okay. But where? The path seems endless although we've been walking for about one hour. Ah sorry, that was the house from the story, a bale of hay. Squared, yellow, fluffy, good enough to jump on it. But history repeats itself and dad doesn't let me to get near it. He, of course, goes. He annoys me so much!<\/p><p>Slowly, the path changes shape and it takes us through a little town, covered in street art and paved streets. Perfect for a snack break.<\/p><p>A doggy chats with me from a bench, but besides him, the town is quite empty. I think it's siesta time now, which is the time people take to rest after lunch. I think we should also borrow this habit.<\/p><p>But now, we have to walk some more.<\/p><p>One step, two, ten and still, nothing on the horizon. These towns seem to be on a stage and they disappear once you step out of them. I started to get used to the trail, to stop feeling so small in all this expanse, to enjoy silence sometimes, more than 5 minutes.<\/p><p>We reach a small town, that's placed at the foot of a hill, beautifully sculpted. In the hill, there is a church, with the kind of bells I saw in an animated movie. I find out later that no, this doesn't mean hospital, but the albergues are called this way.<\/p><p>Mamarmot says we should stay here today.<\/p><p>Woah, what's wrong with Mamarmot, as she's not happy if we don't walk three million, nine hundred thousand dozens of steps per day.<\/p><p>But truth is, I also feel that this place wants me to stay here.\u00a0<\/p><p>We enter and we are greeted by a barefoot boy. He gives us the stamp and tell us he has the perfect room for us. Here there's usually one single room for everybody, with many mattresses, but he wants to offer us his room, where there will be just us. I wonder how I will be able to sleep without all the snoring. It kind of became part of the good night story.\u00a0<\/p><p>He brings us three mattresses in his small room, and we unpack and then take a walk through the surroundings. There's really something special about this place.<\/p><p>In the evening, dinner is again prepared together. As I can't cook and I'm not allowed to use knives, I receive the assignment to set up the table. I arrange the glasses, the plates and the cutlery, and at the end, I receive some red flowers which I must arrange in a specific way.<\/p><p>When the meal is ready, we all take a seat and enjoy the delicious food. At the end, we tidy up the table and wash the dishes.<\/p><p>As last night, we are all invited to gather in the praying room. A small room took the place of the huge monastery, where we all sit on the floor. We are asked to write a thought on a piece of paper next to our name, if we want. Then, the barefoot boy from earlier, brings a box full of papers, taking the pieces one by one and reading from them out loud.<\/p><p>-\"We'll be sending some good thoughts to the ones that were here before and moved forward. Tomorrow!<\/p><p>The ceremony continues but I lose track of the conversation. I am also sleepy so I go with Mamarmot in our room.
